Water Repellent Reactive Penetrating Sealer That Promotes Adhesion

Butterfield Color Clear Guard First Seal is a pre-packaged, water-based, reactive water-repellent sealer designed for unsealed concrete and overlays. It's also compatible with color-hardened, stamped, or stenciled concrete, and cementitious overlays.

This concrete sealer offers economical protection for exterior hardscapes, cutting down maintenance costs. It's specially formulated to accommodate the high pH of new concrete and penetrates deep into its pores. The sealer reacts with the concrete, creating a water-resistant surface and hydrophobic interior. This reduces water and chemical absorption, as well as the damage from freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salts.

In summary, it's a breathable, low-odor, water-based treatment that prevents food stains from penetrating surfaces. It's durable for exterior use, stable under UV light, easy to apply with various methods, and remains unaffected by hot conditions. It's available in 5-gallon containers.

COVERAGE:
Coverage rates vary with surface texture and porosity, ambient and surface temperatures, and method of application. The following coverage rates are approximate for broom-finish concrete surfaces. 200-400 ft²/gal (4.9-9.8 m²/L)

MIXING:
Gently hand mix. Do not create foam.

APPLICATION:
Clear Guard® First Seal™ should be applied at temperatures between 45-90°F (7-32°C) during application and 24 hours after.
